Paul Dalio is a writer/director/composer. He received his Masters from the NYU Graduate film school where he met his professor, Spike Lee who became executive producer of his first feature film, "Touched with Fire," starring Katie Holmes, inspired by the gifts he discovered in his bipolar journey, which he wrote, directed and scored. The film premiered at SXSW film festival, was a New York Times Critic's Pick and received awards from 12 mental health organizations, which brought him into their mission from public speaking to running the NYC marathon for NAMI. Paul used music to de-stigmatize bipolar, making an album about it with 18 Grammy nominated music producer Jerry Wonda, under the alias Luna Clipse. He’s currently working on a musical play at La Mama Theater, “The Devil’s Side of the Story,” as well as his next film dealing with the conflict in the Middle East, “The Pact and Satan and Christ” inspired by his manic visions. He just finished writing his first book, “A Madman’s Revelation, A memoir of psychosis and prophecy.” He’s also teaching a writer’s workshop at Columbia University. He lives in New York with his wife/NYU film school classmate/collaborator and their two kids.
